Last week was all about love. This week is asking you how committed you are. Venus is still retrograde in Scorpio, but now the heavyweights are joining in: Pluto ends its retrograde on October 16, the same day Mars trines Saturn, and the First Quarter Moon in Capricorn arrives on October 18.

In this episode

• Pluto turning direct on October 16 at 3 degrees of Aquarius, and why a clear out is coming in one area of your life
• Why Pluto is a psychological planet, and what throwing out the dead wood looks like in real life
• Mars in Leo trine Saturn in Aries: the best astrological news of the week, bringing stamina, sticking power and courage with a plan
• Venus retrograde in Scorpio square Pluto on October 20: old jealousies, old power dynamics, old money wounds, and a second chance to get it right
• The First Quarter Moon in Capricorn and the tension between love and work
• A look ahead to next week, when Mercury goes retrograde in Scorpio

Key takeaways

• Pluto going direct is a green light on the inner work you've been quietly doing all year. Now is when you start to have something to show for it.
• Pick one goal and give it a really consistent effort this week. That's how Mars and Saturn like it.
• If you've made a mistake in the not so distant past, this is a good week to own it.
• Ask yourself: Where am I giving my power away in relationships? Where am I trying to control someone? What am I clinging to that needs to go?
• At the Quarter Moon, whatever you want usually needs a balance of action and faith.
