Season 3 Episode 6: Cuddle Connection Part 1 w/ Jule Rochelle
In this episode, Aimee and Sean talk with Jule, a Halifax-based sex coach trained in the Somatica method, about her Cuddle Project and the larger mission behind it: creating a culture where consent is honoured and people can safely practice saying yes and no with their bodies. The conversation focuses on how structured, nonsexual touch can help people heal trauma, build trust, and experience intimacy without escalation. We discuss how the Cuddle Project works, why it began as a personal healing practice, and what happens when strangers gather in a tightly facilitated space to practice safe touch, boundaries, and co-regulation.
Key topics- The Cuddle Project is described as a sober, fully clothed, consent-based, multi-hour cuddle experience.
- The format includes a two-hour initiation process focused on consent language, boundaries, and basic touch games before entering the larger cuddle space.
- Jule explains the “puppy pile” and other cuddle configurations, including a center-person nest setup with mattresses, pillows, and blankets.
- The project has grown into a recurring community with hundreds of initiated participants over four years.
