The Saskatchewan Roughriders face a unique challenge as the CFL work stoppage delays the season until September. With Vince Young and Terrell Owens joining the team without training camp, questions arise about their readiness. Dave breaks down why Saskatchewan remains a top-tier contender in the West Division despite the lack of practice reps.

We analyze the strategic implications of the new Grey Cup hosting rule, which favors the team with the best regular-season record. Key topics include Vince Young’s integration into the playbook, Terrell Owens’ potential impact in his first game, and the defensive stability provided by players like Crezdon Butler. The hosts discuss whether the delay benefits the Riders by allowing more individual work time.

Our final projections suggest Saskatchewan will win between 6.5 and 7.5 games this season. We predict Vince Young will secure his first win in Weeks 3-4, while Terrell Owens is expected to score a touchdown in his debut. Tune in for a deep dive into how star power can overcome the chaos of a lockout.
