In this Daily Devotion for September 28, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 82:7-8, where every human ruler, however exalted, still dies like any prince. No title changes that outcome. Only God possesses authority that never falls and never needs replacing.

This devotion follows that plea, arise, O God, judge the earth, to Jesus, who was judged unjustly by human courts yet rose again to become the true and lasting Judge over all nations, having already borne the judgment sinners actually deserved in their place. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, secured completely through His finished work. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper that same settled judgment comes to us again, His true body and blood given for the forgiveness of sins.

When earthly authority disappoints you, as it eventually will, remember where lasting judgment actually rests. Every human prince falls. Christ alone reigns forever, and His judgment over you has already been settled completely in your favor through His cross.
