Learn Italian naturally through 23 short, everyday stories — a lost phone at a bus stop, a missing cake, a rained-out picnic, a first day at the gym. Each story plays first in Italian, then in English, then once more in Italian, so you check your understanding on the first pass and catch more words and patterns on the second.

Linguistically, these sit at roughly A2–B1 on the CEFR scale. Dialogue stays close to A2: short present-tense and passato prossimo exchanges ("Ho perso il telefono"), concrete everyday vocabulary (phones, buses, cafés, doctor's appointments), and an average sentence length of about 7–8 words, easy to follow by ear. Narration leans a notch higher, told in the passato remoto — Italian's storytelling past ("guardò," "arrivò," "disse"), rather than the passato prossimo of conversation manuals — with occasional pluperfect ("aveva pagato...") and conditional perfect ("sarebbe arrivato tardi") for backstory. You don't need these forms already; the English pass clarifies them, but recognizing them by ear is useful B1 practice, making this a good stretch for A2 learners and comfortable, high-repetition listening for A2/B1 learners consolidating what they know.

Each story runs roughly 300–420 Italian words plus a matching English retelling — enough for a full scene, short enough to finish, Italian-English-Italian, in about five minutes. Core vocabulary recurs across stories, so words met in story three reappear, reinforced, by story ten.
