After a 20-year military career, Leah transformed her lived experience into a mission for change, founding SEA WAVES, the nation’s first and only organization dedicated exclusively to supporting service members, veterans, and military families affected by eating disorders.

Her work sits at the intersection of military culture, mental health, and suicide prevention, grounded in one urgent belief: eating disorder prevention is suicide prevention.
