St. Paul Police Chief Axel Henry is suing Mayor Kaohly Her, alleging she repeatedly sexually harassed him and other members of the police department and retaliated against him when he came forward.
The lawsuit against Her and the city comes after an investigative summary report regarding Her’s conduct was released by the city and stated that she had acted inappropriately toward St. Paul Police Department employees but did not substantiate claims of sexual harassment.
In addition to outlining numerous instances of “inappropriate” comments, pranks and physical touching, the 73-page filing accuses the city of withholding the full sexual harassment investigative report, opting instead to release a summary of the findings.
- Photoshopping the faces of Henry and other SPPD personnel onto the semi-nude bodies of bodybuilders and mixed martial arts fighters;
- Surprising Henry and an SPPD sergeant at a golf simulator in Woodbury during their vacation time;
- Referring to herself as a “MILF,” shorthand for “mother I’d like to [expletive]”; and
- Inappropriately touching Henry’s thigh multiple times during a budget meeting.
The chief filed a sexual harassment claim against Her when he learned of the mayor’s comments toward other SPPD officers, including the infamous “Weiner Wednesday” text exchange, and an instance where Her allegedly asked a former deputy chief, “How do my boobs look?”
