Season 2 of Pastor On Point turns the conversation toward one of the most important, and often overlooked, areas of a pastor’s life. Marriage and family.
In this introductory episode, Ben lays the foundation for The Pastor’s Marriage & Family, The Home Congregation, and explains why faithfulness in ministry must include faithfulness at home. Pastoral ministry brings unique pressures that affect not only the pastor, but also the spouse and children who share life alongside them.
Throughout this season, Pastor On Point will address protecting your marriage, raising children under the pressures of pastoral ministry, navigating expectations placed on a pastor’s spouse, managing family finances, intentionally investing in your marriage, and establishing healthy boundaries with the congregation.
The goal is not to minimize the sacrifices ministry requires, but to have honest conversations about how pastors can faithfully serve the church without continually asking their families to bear the cost.
