These stories are taken from the original black-and-white Ivor the Engine television series, first broadcast between 1959 and 1962.
Preserved from the original recordings, the audio reflects the production methods of the time and includes some natural variation in sound quality.
This is part of the character and authenticity of these early episodes, offering a rare opportunity to hear Ivor and his world as they were first experienced.
In Ivor's Present, it is Christmas in the top left-hand corner of Wales, and Mrs Porty brings Ivor a parcel that turns into a touching surprise. It is a festive tale of generosity, surprise and Christmas warmth.
