- An attendant saw a white commercial van with its engine running parked on the east level for 20-25 minutes the morning Norman disappeared.
- A renovation permit from spring 2009 listed a basement door sized 6 feet 8 inches by 2 feet 8 inches with an exterior locking bar.
- The east-side camera on the Vance Street parking garage had been out of service since mid-August despite a submitted repair request.
