The Bible highly emphasizes the importance of knowing, studying, and storing the Scripture in our hearts and preaching it to others. The Bible is a historical book and the living, active Word of God. It is powerful enough to guide our path, protect against deception, help us to grow in faith and reach the eternal life with God. According to the plan of God, it is made for the entire mankind to reach salvation. If we wait too long to know the Bible, we may be unfortunate to find it anywhere as it is prophesied likewise in the Bible itself .

Amos 8:11-13- “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord God, “When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the Lord. People will stagger from sea to sea and from the north even to the east; they will go to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, but they will not find it. In that day the beautiful virgins and the young men will faint from thirst.” അപ്പത്തിന്നായുള്ള വിശപ്പല്ല വെള്ളത്തിന്നായുള്ള ദാഹവുമല്ല, യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നുള്ള വിശപ്പുതന്നേ ഞാൻ ദേശത്തേക്കു അയക്കുന്ന നാളുകൾ വരുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
അന്നു അവർ സമുദ്രംമുതൽ സമുദ്രംവരെയും വടക്കുമുതൽ കിഴക്കുവരെയും ഉഴന്നുചെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനം അന്വേഷിച്ചു അലഞ്ഞുനടക്കും; കണ്ടുകിട്ടുകയില്ലതാനും. അന്നാളിൽ സൌന്ദര്യമുള്ള കന്യകമാരും യൌവനക്കാരും ദാഹംകൊണ്ടു ബോധംകെട്ടുവീഴും.
