Listen to one of the most emotional and legendary love stories of Gujarat with this episode of Kasumbal by Jalso Culture. Beautifully told by Priyanshi Madhu, this audio story shares the tragic tale of Nag and Nagamde—a love so strong that even death could not keep them apart. Taken from the classic book Sorathi Geet Kathao by the great writer Zaverchand Meghani, the story is about Nagwala, a handsome prince, and Nagamde, a beautiful girl from a simple shepherd family. They fall deeply in love after a chance meeting in the market, but because of their different backgrounds, their families try to separate them. When Nagamde is forced into another marriage, she plans to run away to meet Nagwala at a temple. But after waiting for hours in the dark, Nagwala loses hope, believes she isn't coming, and tragically ends his life. When Nagamde finally arrives and finds her beloved gone, her heartbreak is too much to bear. Filled with traditional and deeply moving folk couplets (Duhas), this Jalso Production is a beautiful yet sad story of absolute devotion that will touch your heart.
