Welcome to today’s Bible study.
In this episode of Ruth 4 (KJV), we conclude our verse-by-verse journey through the book of Ruth as God's plan of redemption reaches its fulfillment. This chapter highlights faithfulness, redemption, covenant responsibility, and God's providence through generations.
The chapter begins with Boaz meeting the closer relative at the city gate to settle the matter of redemption. When the relative declines his responsibility, Boaz willingly accepts the role of kinsman redeemer and takes Ruth as his wife.
Through their marriage, the Lord blesses Ruth and Boaz with a son named Obed, who becomes the grandfather of King David. The story that began with loss and sorrow ends with restoration and hope.
The chapter concludes by showing how God works through ordinary faithfulness to accomplish His greater purposes, placing Ruth within the lineage that leads to David and ultimately God's redemptive plan.
Through this chapter, we see key lessons about God's providence, redemption, faithfulness, obedience, and how He transforms difficult circumstances into blessings.
Together, we will study this chapter verse by verse, exploring its historical context, theological depth, and spiritual lessons about God's faithfulness, redemption, covenant love, and His unfolding plan throughout Scripture.
