The Right Turn Podcast: Dialogue in Our City with the Gov

Welcome to The Right Turn Podcast: Dialogue in Our City with the Gov, hosted by Robert Zelle.

This podcast is a platform for direct communication and solution-finding, dedicated to addressing the complex issues facing distressed communities, particularly Saginaw and Robert’s hometown of Bridgeport, Michigan.

Our Mission: Driven by a foundation of faith, family, and love of country, Robert Zelle (The Gov) steps forward as a "truth warrior" committed to generating resourceful, entertaining, and solution-driven conversations. The mission is personal, motivated by the desire to ensure his 12 grandchildren grow up in a better world. We aim to stop running and banging our heads against the same old problems, choosing instead to "turn around and fly in the other direction" toward effective change.

Core Focus Areas: The Right Turn will tackle issues that Zelle believes are holding back the community, always seeking practical solutions:

  • Education Reform: Discussing how to discover every child’s unique gift, move beyond politicized schooling, and integrate project-based learning and vocational skills.
  • Crime Reduction: Exploring the political requirements and technological solutions necessary to create safer streets for families and encourage business investment.
  • Entrepreneurship and Livelihoods: Advocating for systems that create sustainable livelihoods, not just temporary jobs, by maximizing individual talents within the community.
  • Conservative Christian Politics: Bringing the perspective of a conservative Christian who believes in small government, traditional values, and holding political leadership accountable, regardless of party.

About the Host, Robert Zelle: At 70 years old, Robert Zelle brings decades of competitive experience, business acumen, and community activism to the microphone. He has a background in the heavy equipment business, was nearly a professional baseball player, competed in Golden Gloves boxing, and is a pioneer in the cannabis industry. A certified John Maxwell leader and strategist, Robert applies management principles focused on creating wealth and assembling a "mastermind alliance" of 100 entrepreneurs.

We look forward to dialogue and working together to find practical solutions.
