A proposito di questo titolo
In this fantasy narrative, a protective magical barrier that has isolated a valley for five centuries is failing, exposing its diverse inhabitants to a harsh and ravaged outside world. The story follows Sider Ament, the last bearer of a powerful black staff, as he attempts to warn the skeptical leaders of Men and Elves about an impending Troll invasion. Amidst political unrest and religious dogma, young trackers Panterra and Prue become entangled in the conflict after witnessing a brutal massacre and venturing beyond the valley's borders. As alliances shift and betrayals emerge, including a murderous coup within the Elven royalty, Sider recognizes Panterra's potential to inherit his magical burden. The characters must ultimately confront the reality that their era of safety has ended, requiring them to master forgotten magics and military defenses to survive. Through various perspectives, the text explores themes of destiny, the burden of leadership, and the inevitable return of ancient threats.
