A proposito di questo titolo

This week on The Deep Shore—All The Time In The World. This poem was written recently, in November 2025. It was the last day of a wilderness rite of passage program in Southern Tasmania that I facilitated with my dear friend Cat, whose flutes feature as the intro/outro to this podcast.

I wrote this poem to welcome back the brave humans who spent 4 days and 4 nights alone in the wilderness on a journey of remembering their true nature. It speaks to anyone who has traversed the many wildernesses that a life can encounter — grief, loss, pain, trauma, aloneness, depression and all other myriad ways we become unmoored from a sense of belonging — and the power of the force that brings us back to life again and again. What is that?

May you find solace in the reminder that you are welcomed here, Old One, and that someone or something is always looking back at you with eyes of love and recognition.

Words by Helena Turner.

Music by Cat Bednarski.
