The teacher, Patrick Healy, traveled around the world, talked with people in different places, and collected around half a thousand myths, legends, and folktales and their several alternative versions. His opinion and comments (directly or indirectly) are inevitable. This is the second volume of his work. Patrick grouped 14 famous Czech children's stories and myths with his words. He retold the stories with his own opinion and approach to them.
Patrick is an Australian writer who has an abiding interest in the folklore of different cultures. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong for over 25 years as a high school teacher. Patrick has traveled extensively throughout Asia and speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin fluently.

Loved these tales!
I didn't know what to expect with these tales, but I am glad I gave them a chance. I was quickly drawn into each fairy tale story.
This collection of fairy tales are quite different than the usual ones we hear. My daughters were nearby while I was listening and even they were interested and started listening.
Denise did a great job on the narration and the voices. I appreciate being able to tell who is speaking and she did a great job.
I am hoping to hear more in this great collection!
I was given this free audio book at my request and have voluntarily provided this review.

I have never heard about these stories
If you could sum up Czech Tales in three words, what would they be?
scenes, colors, plot
What other book might you compare Czech Tales to, and why?
Arabian Nights by the same author and narrator
What does Denise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
She has the ability to narrate different voices and tones. You think that you listen to a cinematic or a theatrical production
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Any additional comments?
Great production for kinds and all family.
