"L.M. Montgomery fans will be delighted by Barbara Caruso's narration of the fifth volume in the series." (School Library Journal)
I listened to the samples of all the different recordings of his book, and I liked this narrator best, but I almost didn't get it because the audio wasn't great. When I got it, however, the audio quality was great. Barbara Caruso does a great job.

Any additional comments?
The narrator does a really good job on all of the characters.
The story was better than "Anne of Windy Poplars" and as good as the more widely known first three books in the series.

This was a delight -- the only drawback seemed to be the mispronunciation of several words; of particular annoyance was any reference to Gog & Magog, as the narrator kept pronouncing Magog as "Mā-gog" rather than "Mah-gog"... other than that distraction, was extremely pleased.

This story was written so well and read with such enthusiasm that I felt like I was there with them. I experienced the joys and sorrow of the characters.
Oh I have fallen dearly in love with these books. The narration was excellent but the story shone. I enjoyed it so very much!
Finally Anne has the life I desired for her since book 1! I can just stop the series here and be content with such a wonderful story. Yet, I know I will be surprised just around the bend in the road.
I think I like this book best after the first Anne of Green Gables. the reader is wonderful too.
Barbara Caruso portrays the wonderful characters and story with warmth and liveliness. I enjoyed this book very much and recommend it highly.
such a wonderful start for Anne and Gilbert! and to meet such just lovely characters..Captain Jim and Leslie were a delight to read and get to know. I'll hold a place in my heart for them, Just as I do the Avonlea folk! and Barbara told it so well!
Barbara Caruso was a truly wonderful narrator! I love this story and her voice brought it to life!
Great audio loved listening to it can not wait to hear the next 1 👍
Another good L M Montgomery book. When you finish it you want to start the next immediately
I read the Anne books when I was a girl and I loved them. Almost 20 years later I've now read them again and I still love them. Not only do I love them still but I can appriciate the writing more today. It is beautiful and romantic but also oh so funny and heartbreaking, in a well balanced way.
These books give me that achy feeling that Anne somtimes describes, when something is so momentary and beautiful it hurts a little.
