There's a saying in Brooklyn that if you come from my part of town, you're from around the way. Well Lyric, Juicy, and Precious are all from around the way. They all live in Crown Heights, one of the most notorious sections of Brooklyn, but to them it's just a place they call home. Around the Way Girls 2 is a fast-paced look at the life of some street-smart women who think they know it all but are about to get the lessons of their lives.
Lyric Crenshaw has been playing the game so long she's mastered it. Her motto has always been to use what you got to get what you want. With a face and a body like hers, the possibilities are endless. But when a love struck coworker teaches her otherwise and she meets a man that sees right through her, she may have to open her eyes and see that winning the game ain't everything.
If Juicy Brown were to die today, her obituary would read "another welfare recipient bites the dust". But things have to change. She agrees with some of the rumors around the neighborhood about her, but one is straight scandalous! And she's about to clear it up by any means necessary.
Precious Paine is a ghetto jewel haunted by memories of a troubled childhood. She and her crew have the game on smash, but trouble lurks around the corner. Can the love of a good man make Precious leave behind her hustles in the streets, or will she become another victim of the inner-city life that's marked for self-destruction?

The first Story
I hated the first story. Who can come up with worst mother in the world? This author... lol
I just don't understand why I didn't just stop listening this story. Annoyed...

Ummmmm......
That first story dragged on! I was waiting for the big bang in the first one but nothing happened. The second story had me in tears😢! It was a really good story but it was sad. I'm glad through the gloom she prevailed! And for that last one I'm just going to say "You see, you can't trust b@#$% or n@%#$"

OK if your really bored
The first story has ABSOLUTELY NO POINT, NO PLOT. 23 chapters of cautionary hood/ghetto family antics. The other stories were better but too much time wasted to get there. I’ve listened to worse 🤷🏽♀️

DEFINITELY A GOOD READ
I liked all three short stories, but it was the last one that brought it ALL THE WAY HOME! I can't even remember what the first two were about after listening to it - even though I liked them.

Yeah, Nah!
I don’t know if this book was really as bad as I’m thinking or if the narrator just made it seem worse than it truly was. The narrator is absolutely horrible! But let’s not mistake it, the stories were equally as bad! Absolutely no depth, story lines and back stories were so shallow and typical. Characters had no development or were nondescript for the most part! I know it’s fiction but these stories were so fake it was almost comical. I honestly couldn’t take any of these stories seriously. I would not recommend this book at all!!
