I'm pleased to say, that while the premise may seem pretty common, it managed to surprise me multiple times.
It was definitely the spiciest thing I've read in a really long time, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're not really into that. This book will definitely make you blush.
The characters, especially the MMC, are really morally grey. Not the kind where they pretend to be evil or be ruthless, but are secretly good people.... Like, PROPERLY morally grey. Abusive and violent. Let this be your warning.
I absolutely loved the FMC. She felt really different and unique compared to the usual romantasy protagonist.
All that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and will definitely look into the other works by this author.
The narrator did an absolutely AMAZING job reading this.
What can I say.... Wildly entertaining, five stars.
