In every church, ministry, or workforce, there are servants that work with diligence and compassion in the background. They are the dedicated workers that unlock the doors before anyone pulls into the parking lot. They are the ones that stay behind to clean up the messes made throughout the day. They are the ones we’ve seen countless times, but hardly ever acknowledge. They are the Unseen Servants, the Levites of our time. In A Psalm for Unseen Servants, Hance Dilbeck provides a resource that not only acknowledges the ministry of these dedicated workers, but thanks them for what they have done, and encourages them to not lose their dedication to the task at hand…for their work may often go unnoticed in this world, but their dedication furthers the Kingdom of God.
These servants are in every church. Though they may receive a nod to their service from time to time, they do not always have a resource that acknowledges and celebrates their service. Hance Dilbeck, President of Guidestone, believes that this project is one that is important for churchgoers to note the very real service coming from the servants that often go unseen.
