Free on Spotify
I love Spade. Saw him with Dennis Miller a few months ago. But this "book" is virtually his entire 2014 album, which is available on Spotify. Don't waste a credit.

Much better than the first one!
This book is such a good listen for when you’re running errands, driving your car to work, or simple things like that.
As David mentioned, it doesn’t add anything to your life, but it’s entertaining and light to listen to.
I find myself looking forward to head to the car for work just so I can listen to it.

In my 20s, but still love it...
A lot of this book is geared at relating more towards those who aren't growing up in this "social media world". However, I'm in my twenties, and I grew up loving David Spade's comedy, so I wanted to give it a try anyway. I am so glad I did. There was a lot that was still very relatable. He's an amazing story teller in this. 6 hours flew by like it was nothing. I don't laugh out loud at much, but I really did at this, making myself look like a complete idiot many times. I would listen to him ramble like he did in this book for hours more! There are definitely some raunchy parts, but still hilarious. Such a well thought through look at his life.

Cynical humor at its best!
If you are a Spade fan, or even if you’re not, this book is a witty take on life as it was and is now. As a 40 something woman, I appreciated the nostalgic SNL and Farley references, as well as the more poignant moments of Spade’s upbringing and early years. His sarcasm and cynicism are the perfect pair as he describes the many hilarious moments of his life as a “star”. While a bit raunchy at times, this book is worth the price and the listen. It’s laugh out loud funny in a world where we don’t laugh nearly enough. Thanks David Spade!!

OMG Dying!!!!
i was so excited for this project and pre ordered months in advance. started listening the morning it came out and could not stop listening. the best stories, jokes, sound effects, wisdom and lololololols for life. i keep skipping back to certain chapters on repeat and replaying. *birds in the morning*

Disappointing
Bought first book and enjoyed it immensely. Loved his narration and stories.
This was more like a comedian spitballing trying to come up with 60 minutes of material for a set.
Random complaints and stories of trying to score with young girls 30 years younger...actually sad that his life seems to still be about clubbing, drinking and looking for hookups rather than a meaningful relationship.
Not every at bat is a home run....look forward to the next one... this was a swing and a miss,

Funny; some parts were gross though
This was entertaining but he kind of gets a little gross in parts(the porno parts). Could've done without that. But other than that. it was a hoot.

Spade complains about dating and life
Spade complains about dating younger women repeatedly, complains about his body, complains about not being rich enough (I think or maybe it was that he’s not famous enough). Maybe it could’ve been funny but he refuses the same 3 punchlines for every joke and story and many of his stories are so blatantly made up/contrived that it completely destroys whatever comedic value they would have otherwise had. He’s describing things in his head as “real experiences” when he elsewhere says he thought those things—its a confusing mess. Aside from that, cringing at minutes and minutes of him talking about his sex life with the most grotesque descriptions...

Spade Succeeds in Spades
Lots of great comics out there- add a voracious online appetite that will swallow 10 years of material in a 45 min. spot, and you have near impossible odds of establishing a long term relationship with a loyal audience. Some have done it, always with a unique personality- able to overcome tarnishing time with its constantly new and shifting difficulty levels....
Lenny Bruce, Jerry Lewis, Carlin, Pryor, Dangerfield-modern comics at least have the shoulders of Giants to start off on-
Bill Hicks, Kennison, Hedberg, Louis CK, Chappell, Chris Rock....again, even given the amazing content, it’s the unique personalities that make for a lifetime friend-
And there you have the story and glory of Davie Spade- Trusting in his own personality to be his ‘character’, it’s clear that this shy and tentative person is never taking any chances by self deprecation, or self shaming; he’s got the room at Hello-
David is Everyman’s go-to hang partner. Like Gaffigan , Tom Papa, and (on a good day) Artie Lang, he can go for a couple hours and never approach a worn out welcome- He’s a welcome guest and a truly trusted comic- he’ll be around as long as he wants to be.

Get a fcuking Life David. Settle down.
blah blah blah moan moan moan, I'm the same age as Dave, he just sounds like a fcuking idiot.
what does a 40 something on a date with a 24 year old think is gonna happen. I couldn't get past chapter 3.
WAS a fan this was time I won't get back. Took it as my free first membership to audible... WASTED.

Made me cringe
Stopped listening at chapter 7. Couldn't bear the anti-women, egotistical ranting. It was not for me. I started feeling sorry for him, which is not good! Even if this book is actually supposed to be a comedic performance, it is now outdated and really not that funny.

No LOLs
I was surprised to hear repitition of the same lame gags throughout. Ultimately, he bangs on about not being like the characters he portrays while simultaneously, telling stories where he is actually that guy IRL. Don't buy!

Dull
Like sitting on a train and the bloke in the seat behind you is just talking for the sake of talking to someone who never says anything in reply. At some point you will move to another carriage.

Self-deprecating and hilarious
David Spade is a great raconteur, so funny and self-deprecating, and occasionally highly inappropriate. I have heard quite a few of these stories before but it was such a fun six hours with this great comedian, it definitely left me wanting more.

Really struggled to finish it. Found it irritating. Didn't enjoy this at all. A struggle to lhave any respect for the author.

extremely underwhelming
when you see a famous person write a book you expect it to be about their success story and something inspiring.
this book was like having a regular conversation with the guy... nothing special.
however, he does perform well to try to keep it interesting.
