Shines a light on a revolution kept in the shadows

This is a very good book right from the beginning. It had a lot of information and was pretty much a history from the beginning of the islands exploitation up until now. Very well read. I will listen to it again to better imbibe my memory to the history of historic actions taken by the once enslaved of St. Domingue.

    Excellent short introduction

A very well-considered introduction. Also has tips for further reading, including scholars writing from a local Haitian perspective.
