As a child of the 50's I was brought up on the television programmes of Mr Pastry, The Marx Bros, Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin & many more. Which is where my love of slapstick and the absurd comes from. Having started work at fifteen as a motor mechanic and car salesman before joining the police at the age of twenty-four, I later worked in Europe and the middle east as a mechanic again before settling down to married life with three children who inspired me to write my first book. I now draw on nearly sixty years of memories and experiences to write my stories
I get the biggest thrill from making people smile. With my writing, I hope to entertain, not just children but anyone who is still a kid inside.
